Keynote Speaker ~ Dr. Kevin McCauley

 Nationally Renowned Addiction Specialist,     Noted Speaker and Award-Winning Filmmaker

As Co-Founder of the Institute for Addiction Study,   Dr. McCauley wrote and directed the film, Pleasure Unwoven about the neuroscience of addiction.  Pleasure Unwoven won the 2010 Michael Q. Ford Award for Journalism from the National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers.  Currently with Northbound Treatment Center, Kevin has been working with the onsite family program for the past five years.  Kevin also concentrates his efforts on addiction education, developing clinical program enhancements and assisting with family support and interventions.

Kevin has over ten years of continuous sobriety himself, and has given over two thousand lectures on addiction and recovery throughout the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, Europe and Australia.  His main interest is the common debate over whether or not addiction can be rightfully considered a disease.
